Oh, good for you for taking care of the sweet snail! You're going to LOVE this...
ReplyDeleteKind heart, gentle heart: Rescue the drowning insect; carry the snail on the pavement to safety; return the helpless worm, writhing on concrete, to the sanctuary of Mother Earth.
Render help and kindness, wherever it is needed, to all life, great or small. Suffering has no boundaries, neither should compassion.
I've absolutely loved that since I discovered it on this blog, which has a lot of wonderful quotes and essays but has sadly not been updated since Aug 2009. The quote has no attribution, which is also too bad because I think it's beautiful and brilliant, as well as tailor-made for your snail rescue! :-)
P.S. I completely forgot to mention that your blog is looking really snazzy! I love your new header and background! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Laurie, for sharing that quote. I looked at the site it came from and yes, I agree I'd love to see it updated. The quote is fantastic and gives much food for thought. I tried to find a source for it as well and didn't succeed, but I shall keep it in my heart. Glad also that you like my blog's updated look. I'm having fun playing with it. My flag counter now has a flag for Indonesia, which was thrilling to see. I'm not sure how the flag counter differs from the blogger dashboard which also says I've had hits from other countries, but I imagine over time it will become clearer (or not). As always, thanks for your comments and your insights!
